दंतैल हाथी की मौत – वनाधिकारी मौन, कटघोरा वनमण्डल क्षेत्र की घटना

कोरबा। कटघोरा वनमंडल के केंदई वन परिक्षेत्र पाली सर्कल अंतर्गत जुनापारा के समीप एक हाथी का शव मिला है। हाथी की मौत की खबर से वन विभाग के अधिकारियों में हड़कंप मच गया है। बताया जा रहा है कि केंदई रेंज में विचरण कर रहे 30 हाथियों में से एक हाथी की मौत हुई है। हाथी की मौत का कारण पहाड़ से गिरने को बताया जा रहा है। इसके अलावा 12 हाथियों का दल भी इस क्षेत्र में आ पहुँचा है।कटघोरा वनविभाग के एस डी ओ अरविंद तिवारी ने बताया कि हाथी के मरने की वजह ऊँचाई से गिरना प्रथम दृष्टिया लग रहा है माना जा रहा है कि दो हाथियों के बीच लड़ाई हुई होगी और इस दौरान एक दंतैल पहाड़ से नीचे गिर होगा।
आज एक चरवाहे ने सबसे पहले दंतैल के शव को देखा और रेंजर को इसकी जानकारी दी।जिसके बाद अधिकारियो का फल मौके पर पहुँचा। हाथी के शरीर मे गंभीर चोट लगने की वजह से उसकी मौत हुई होगी।हालांकि पोस्ट मार्टम के बाद ही मौत के सही कारणों का पता चल सकेगा। बताया जा रहा है कि हाथी वयस्क था। शनिवार को कटघोरा और पोड़ीउपरोडा के पशु चिकित्सक के द्वारा पोस्टमार्टम किया जाएगा जिसके बाद मौत के सही कारणों का पता चल सकेगा। वन विभाग के अफसरों ने विवेचना प्रारंभ कर दी है। हाथियों का यह झुंड क्षेत्र में भारी उत्पात मचा चुका है। मनगांव, सलिहापारा, पनगंवा सहित अन्य गांवों में कई मकान ढहाने के साथ दर्जनों किसानों की फसल को हाथी चौपट कर चुके हैं। हाथी की मौत की खबर पाते ही डीएफओ श्री संत एसडीओ अरविंद तिवारी व रेंजर अश्वनी चौबे मौके पर पहुंच गए थे।आज हाथी की सुरक्षा के लिए वनकर्मियों को तैनात कर दिया गया है।
