प्रत्यक्ष पद्धति से होगा निकाय चुनाव, जनता चुनेगी मेयर और निकाय अध्यक्ष- भूपेश बघेल
रायपुर– छत्तीसगढ़ में होने वाले नगरीय निकाय चुनाव पुरानी व्यवस्था पर ही होंगे, महापौर व निकाय अध्यक्षों का चुनाव सीधे जनता करेगी। चुनाव में इसमें किसी तरह का परिवर्तन नहीं किया जाएगा।
महासमुंद में बुधवार को आभार रैली एवं पिछड़ा वर्ग महासम्मेलन में मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल शामिल हुए, इस दौरान मीडिया से बातचीत में मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा, कि नगरीय निकाय चुनाव की व्यवस्था में किसी तरह का परिवर्तन नहीं कर रहे हैं। पार्षदों के द्वारा महापौर व निकाय के अध्यक्ष चुने जाने के प्रश्न पर उन्होनें कहा, कि सरकार के पास इस तरह का कोई विचार नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा, पहले जो व्यवस्था थी, आगे भी वही रहेगी।
दरअसल, इस बात की चर्चा थी, कि राज्य के नगरीय निकायों में पार्षद अब महापौर व निकाय अध्यक्षो का चुनाव करेंगे, जिसे लेकर राज्य सरकार जल्द ही कोई फैसला ले सकती है, लेकिन मुख्यमंत्री ने इस बात को खारिज कर दिया।
