केंद्रीय अल्पसंख्यक मामलों के मंत्री किरेन रिजिजू ने कहा कि वक्फ (संशोधन) अधिनियम मुस्लिमों के खिलाफ नहीं है, बल्कि इसका उद्देश्य अतीत की गलतियों में सुधार करना है। उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहती है कि भारत में किसी की जमीन को ‘जबरन और एकतरफा’ छीनने का कोई प्रावधान न हो।
कोच्चि /केंद्रीय अल्पसंख्यक मामलों के मंत्री किरेन रिजिजू ने मंगलवार को वक्फ अधिनियम में संशोधन करने के उद्देश्य के बारे में जानकारी दी। उन्होंने कहा कि अधिनियम में संशोधन मुस्लिम समुदाय को लक्षित करने के लिए नहीं किया गया है, बल्कि इसका उद्देश्य पिछली गलतियों में सुधार करना है। रिजिजू का यह बयान ऐसे समय में आया है, जब विभिन्न मुस्लिम संगठन कानून में संशोधन करने को लेकर विरोध कर रहे हैं और पश्चिम बंगाल में हिंसक हो गए हैं।
रिजिजू ने कोच्चि में एक प्रेस वार्ता की। इस दौरान उनके साथ केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री जॉर्ज कुरियन और राज्य भाजपा अध्यक्ष राजीव चंद्रशेखर भी मौजूद रहे। पत्रकारों को संबोधित करते हुए रिजिजू ने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार का इरादा साफ है। सरकार यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहती है कि भारत में किसी की जमीन को ‘जबरन और एकतरफा’ छीनने का कोई प्रावधान न हो.
