हाथियों का आतंक : 5 एकड़ से अधिक में फैले फसलों को रौंदा, सूरजपुर में घर पर हमले से मासूम की हुई मौत
सरगुजा। छत्तीसगढ़ के सरगुजा जिले में 35 हाथियों का दल बीती रात से विचरण कर रहा है। इस दौरान हाथियों के दल ने 5 एकड़ से अधिक में फैले फसलों को नुकसान पहुंचाया है। वहीं सूचना मिलने के बाद वन विभाग की टीम भी सतर्क हो गई है। साथ ही लोगों को हाथियों के नजदीक न जाने की अपील कर रही है।
दरअसल, 35 हाथियों का यह दल ग्राम पंचायत मानपुर में घूम रहा है। बताया जा रहा है कि, 5 एकड़ से अधिक क्षेत्रफल में फैली फसलों को हाथियों ने रौंद दिया है। जिसमें गन्ना, आलू, सरसों सहित अन्य फसलें शामिल हैं। जिसके कारण भारी नुकसान होने की आशंका जताई जा रही है। वहीं वन विभाग ने ग्रामीणों को सलाह दी है कि, वे हाथियों के नजदीक न जाएं। वन विभाग की टीम हाथियों के विचरण क्षेत्र में अपनी मौजूदगी बनाए हुए है और स्थिति पर नजर रखे हुए है।
