नई दिल्ली — राज्यसभा की 18 सीटों के लिये 19 जून को मतदान और इसी दिन मतगणना भी होगी।
गौरतलब है कि मार्च महीने में कुल 55 सीटों पर होना था चुनाव लेकिन इन 55 में से 37 सीटों पर उम्मीदवार निर्विरोध चुने गये थे जिसके बाद 18 सीटों पर 26 मार्च को चुनाव होना था लेकिन
लॉकडाऊन के चलते चुनाव टाल दिया गया था। आज हुई प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ने राज्यससभा की 18 सीटों के लिये चुनावी तारीख का ऐलान करते हुये बताया कि उसी दिन चुनाव के परिणाम घोषित कर दिये जायेंगे। जिन 18 राज्यसभा सीटों पर चुनाव होने हैं उनमें गुजरात और आंध्र प्रदेश में चार-चार, राजस्थान और मध्य प्रदेश में तीन-तीन, झारखंड में दो और मणिपुर और मेघालय में एक-एक सीट शामिल है।
