लघु धान्य फसलों में अनुसंधान के लिए आई.सी.ए.आर. द्वारा जगदलपुर केन्द्र को देश के सर्वश्रेष्ठ केन्द्र का पुरस्कार
रायपुर, 28 मई, 2020। इंदिरा गांधी कृषि विश्वविद्यालय, रायपुर ने एक बार फिर राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धि हासिल की है। विश्वविद्यालय के अंतर्गत संचालित शहीद गुंडाधुर कृषि महाविद्यालय एवं अनुसंधान केन्द्र, जगदलपुर को लघु धान्य फसलों के अनुसंधान के लिए भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद द्वारा देश के सर्वश्रेष्ठ केन्द्र का पुरस्कार मिला है। इस केन्द्र ने यह उपलब्धि लगातार दूसरी बार हासिल की है। 28 मई, 2020 से आयोजित दो दिवसीय अखिल भारतीय ज्वार एवं लघु धान्य वार्षिक संगोष्ठी में शहीद गुंडाधुर कृषि महाविद्यालय एवं अनुसंधान केन्द्र, जगदलपुर को लघु धान्य फसलों में वर्ष 2017 से 2020 तक किये गए अनुसंधान, प्रसार, बीजोत्पादन, फसल प्रदर्शन, किस्म प्रजनन आदि के क्षेत्रों मंे किए गए विशिष्ट कार्यों के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ केन्द्र का अवार्ड दिया गया। भारत सरकार के सचिव कृषि शिक्षा एवं अनुसंधान तथा भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद के महानिदेशक डाॅ. त्रिलोचन महापात्रा की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित इस आॅनलाइन वार्षिक संगोष्ठी में भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद, नई दिल्ली के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी तथा देश भर में इस परियोजना के तहत संचलित अनुसंधान केन्द्रों के वैज्ञानिक उपस्थित थे।
उल्लेखनीय है कि अखिल भारतीय समन्वित लघुधान्य परियेाजना की जगदलपुर इकाई विगत तीन वर्षो से उल्लेखनीय कार्य कर रही है। किस्म विकास के क्षेत्र मे केन्द्र में पूरे भारत वर्ष के लिये किस्में BK-36 (CG kodo-3), BR-14-3 (CG-Ragi-3), BL-41-3 (CG-SonKutki) विकसित की है। सस्य विज्ञान की शाखा में भी खरपतवार प्रबंधन, फसल उत्पादन तकनीकी और अन्र्तवर्तीय फसलो में बहुत अच्छा अनुसंधान कार्य किया है। पौध रोग विज्ञान मंे कृषि महाविद्यालय के वैज्ञानिको ने पौध रोग हेतु नवीन दवाओ एवं प्रबंधन पर भी सराहनीय कार्य किया है। इसके अलावा प्रसार के क्षेत्र में भी फसल प्रदर्शन, आदिवासी उपयोजना एवं राज्य ग्रामीण आजीविका मिशन (SRLM) के माध्यम से लगभग 1500 एकड़ का प्रदर्शन बस्तर संभाग के विभिन्न जिलो में किया गया है। बीजोत्पादन में विगत तीन वर्षाे में लगभग 50 क्विंटल प्रजनक बीज का उत्पादन किया गया है जिसका वितरण तमिलनाडु, उत्तराखण्ड, बिहार, मध्यप्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ एंव अन्य राज्यों को किया गया है। लघु धान्य प्रसंस्करण में भी कोदो, कुटकी एवं रागी के विभिन्न उत्पादों का प्रसंस्करण किया जा रहा है। लघु धान्य परियोजना के प्रमुख अन्वेषक डाॅ अश्वनी कुमार ठाकुर (वैज्ञानिक, सस्य विज्ञान) के नेतृत्व में विभिन्न कृषि वैज्ञानिक कार्यरत हैं ।
