नई दिल्ली –भारत दौरे पर आईं राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप की पत्नी मेलानिया दिल्ली सरकार द्वारा संचालित हैप्पीनेस स्कूल पहुंँची। मेलानिया के दिल्ली के नानकपुरा में स्थित सर्वोदय विद्यालय पहुँचने पर वहाँ के बच्चियों ने मेलानिया को तिलक लगाया और आरती उतारकर उनका स्वागत किया। स्कूल पहुंँचकर मेलानिया ने बच्चों के साथ बातें की और क्लासरूम में गेम्स खेले। बच्चों द्वारा सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किया गया। इस दौरान मेलानिया काफी खुश नजर आयी। बच्चों से मिलने के बाद मेलानिया ट्रंप ने कहा कि सांस्कृति नृत्य के साथ इस शानदार स्वागत के लिये शुक्रिया। स्कूल के बच्चों ने मेलानिया को मधुबनी की पेंटिंग गिफ्ट की। ‘हैप्पीनेस क्लास’ का लुत्फ उठाने के बाद मेलानिया ट्रंप ने कहा, ‘नमस्ते! सांस्कृति नृत्य के साथ इस शानदार स्वागत के लिये शुक्रिया। हैपीनेस शब्द प्रेरणा देने वाला है। पूरी दुनियाँ में ऐसे कार्यक्रम होने चाहिये। अमेरिका में इसी तरह के काम कर रहे हैं। यह बहुत अच्छा स्कूल है। भारत एक शानदार देश है और यहां आकर मुझे बेहद खुशी हुई। यह भारत में मेरा पहला दौरा है। यहां के लोग बहुत अच्छे हैं और अतिथियों का बेहद आदर सत्कार करते हैं।’ इस दौरान वहाँ सुरक्षा के क़ड़े इंतजाम किये गये थे।
