बिलासपुर आज दिनांक 12 फरवरी 2020 को न्यू राजधानी की हवाई सेवा की बहुप्रतीक्षित मांग की ओर एक कदम अग्रसर होते हुए। श्री एनबी सिंह एयरपोर्ट डायरेक्टर चकरभाटा बिलासपुर के आग्रह पर माननीय महाधिवक्ता महोदय श्री सतीश चंद्र वर्मा के कर कमलों से एयरपोर्ट के विस्तार जिसके तहत एयरपोर्ट को C2 श्रेणी से C3 एयरपोर्ट बनाने का विस्तार कार्य का विधि विधान पूर्वक शुभारंभ कराया गया। हर्ष का विषय है कि बिलासपुर एयरपोर्ट को राज्य सरकार ने C3 श्रेणी के हवाई अड्डे के रूप में विकसित करने के लिए फंड पहले से ही जारी कर दिया है आज कार्य विधिवत रूप से प्रारंभ कराया गया जिसे 1 माह के भीतर पूर्ण करा दिया जाएगा यह प्रयास राज्य शासन की ओर से किया जा रहा है कि 72 सीटर हवाई जहाज डेढ़ महीने के भीतर बिलासपुर हवाई अड्डे में प्रारंभ कर दिया जाए। इस अवसर पर महाधिवक्ता महोदय के साथ श्री विवेक रंजन तिवारी अतिरिक्त महाधिवक्ता मतीन सिद्दीकी उप महाधिवक्ता श्री आशीष श्रीवास्तव महाधिवक्ता एवं श्री बीड़ी गुरु अधिवक्ता एयरपोर्ट अथॉरिटी के अधिकारी गण तथा जिला प्रशासन व पीडब्ल्यूडी के अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।
