छत्तीसगढ़ में डॉक्टरों और मेडिकल स्टॉफ की सुरक्षा के लिए विशेष कानून बनाया जाएगा । स्वास्थ्य मंत्री टी.एस. सिंहदेव ने कानून का मसौदा तैयार करने स्वास्थ्य सचिव को शीघ्र समिति गठित करने के निर्देश दिए हैं।
यह समिति एक महीने के भीतर नए कानून का मसौदा तैयार कर शासन को देगी। स्वास्थ्य मंत्री के अनुसार विशेष कानून बनाने विधानसभा के आगामी सत्र में विधेयक पेश किया जाएगा। बता दें कि डॉक्टरों और विभिन्न चिकित्सा संघों द्वारा अस्पतालों में डॉक्टरों और अन्य मेडिकल स्टाफ की सुरक्षा के संबंध में कानून बनाने की मांग समय-समय पर आती रही है। छत्तीसगढ़, पश्चिम बंगाल जैसे विभिन्न स्थानों में डॉक्टरों पर हुए हमले के मद्देनजर सरकार इस संबंध में कानून बनाने की त्वरित पहल कर रही है।
