SECL के निदेशक तकनीकी एन फ्रेंकलिन जयकुमार NCL के नए CMD हेतु अनुशंसित
बिलासपुर।साउथ ईस्टर्न कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड (SECL) परिवार, SECL के निदेशक (तकनीकी) (ऑपरेशंस) एन. फ्रैंकलिन जयकुमार को दिनांक 08 जुलाई 2026 को लोक उद्यम चयन बोर्ड (PESB) द्वारा नॉर्दर्न कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड (NCL) के अध्यक्ष-सह-प्रबंध निदेशक (CMD) पद हेतु अनुशंसित किया गया है । कोयला एवं लिग्नाइट खनन क्षेत्र में तीन दशकों से अधिक के समृद्ध अनुभव से संपन्न जयकुमार ने फरवरी 2024 में SECL में निदेशक (तकनीकी) (परियोजना एवं योजना) के रूप में कार्यभार ग्रहण किया था तथा 01 जनवरी 2025 से निदेशक (तकनीकी) (ऑपरेशंस) के रूप में अपनी सेवाएँ प्रदान कर रहे हैं।
SECL से जुड़ने से पूर्व वे एनएलसी इंडिया लिमिटेड (NLC India Limited) में कार्यकारी निदेशक (कोल कोऑर्डिनेशन) एवं परियोजना प्रमुख, तलाबीरा-II एवं III ओपनकास्ट परियोजना के पद पर कार्यरत रहे। इससे पूर्व उन्होंने एनएलसी इंडिया में विभिन्न महत्वपूर्ण नेतृत्वकारी दायित्वों का सफलतापूर्वक निर्वहन किया। अपने करियर के प्रारंभिक चरण में उन्होंने द सिंगरेनी कोलियरीज कंपनी लिमिटेड (SCCL) में लगभग 18 वर्षों तक सेवाएँ देते हुए अत्यधिक यंत्रीकृत भूमिगत एवं खुली खदानों के संचालन में व्यापक अनुभव अर्जित किया।इसके अतिरिक्त उन्होंने इंडोनेशिया स्थित 5 मिलियन टन प्रतिवर्ष क्षमता वाली कोयला खदान का पाँच वर्षों तक सफल नेतृत्व करते हुए अंतरराष्ट्रीय खनन प्रबंधन का भी महत्वपूर्ण अनुभव प्राप्त किया।
जयकुमार ने कॉलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग, गिंडी (अन्ना विश्वविद्यालय, चेन्नई) से खनन अभियांत्रिकी में स्नातक की उपाधि प्राप्त की है। इसके साथ ही उन्होंने केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय, हैदराबाद से पर्यावरण अभियांत्रिकी एवं प्रबंधन में स्नातकोत्तर डिप्लोमा तथा अलगप्पा विश्वविद्यालय, तमिलनाडु से मानव संसाधन प्रबंधन में एमबीए किया है। वे महानिदेशालय खान सुरक्षा (DGMS) द्वारा प्रदत्त प्रथम श्रेणी खान प्रबंधक दक्षता प्रमाणपत्र (First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency) के धारक हैं तथा इंस्टीट्यूशन ऑफ इंजीनियर्स (इंडिया) के फेलो भी हैं।
संचालन उत्कृष्टता के अतिरिक्त, जयकुमार ने खान सुरक्षा, कौशल विकास तथा रणनीतिक नीतिगत पहलों के क्षेत्र में भी उल्लेखनीय योगदान दिया है। वे स्किल काउंसिल फॉर माइनिंग सेक्टर (SCMS) के बोर्ड सदस्य रह चुके हैं, तमिलनाडु माइन्स सेफ्टी एसोसिएशन में विभिन्न नेतृत्वकारी भूमिकाएँ निभा चुके हैं तथा कोयला मंत्रालय की संकट प्रबंधन योजना (Crisis Management Plan) के निर्माण में भी महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे चुके हैं, जो भारत की राष्ट्रीय आपदा प्रबंधन रूपरेखा का एक अभिन्न अंग है।
