संभाग का पहला टी.जे.आर. और ऑर्थो-ग्रेथिक सर्जरी : चेहरे के टेढ़ेपन का इलाज किया सिम्स के दन्त चिकित्सा विभाग ने
बिलासपुर, 11 सितंबर /मरीज नीता कुमारी (बदला हुआ नाम) उम्र 20 वर्ष का दाएं जबड़े में चोट के कारण 10 वर्ष पहले अविकसित रह गया तथा मुँह खुलना भी बंद हो गया और खाने पीने की परेशानी लेकर आई तथा नीचे और ऊपर के जबड़े का टेढ़ा होता चला गया और दाँतों का विन्यास (Occlusion) भी बिगड़ गया तथा चेहरा असंतुलित होने के कारण मरीज हीन भावना से ग्रसित होने लगी थी। घर से बाहर निकलना भी बंद कर दी थी।
मरीज अपनी परेशानी का हल निकालने और इलाज के लिए रायपुर के बड़े अस्पताल तथा अन्य बड़े अस्पताल भी गई। परन्तु इलाज में अत्यधिक खर्च से परेशान होकर सिम्स के दन्त चिकित्सा विभाग पहुंची। जहाँ पर इसका सम्पूर्ण जाँच, सी टी स्कैन, 3 डी फेस प्रिंट, खून जाँच कराने के बाद डायग्नोसिस राइट टी एम जॉइंट एन्काइलोसिस एंड फेसिअल एसीमेट्री बनाई गई तथा इलाज की प्रक्रिया को विस्तार से समझाया गया। इसके पश्चात् पहले मई 2023 को राइट टी एम जॉइंट एन्काइलोसिस का इलाज डिस्ट्रक्शन ओस्टोजेनेसिस (चाबी) द्वारा की गई, जिससे दाएं जबड़े की लम्बाई बढ़ाई गई। जिसमे 6 माह का समय लगा।
फरवरी 2024 को दूसरा ऑपरेशन करके डिस्ट्रक्शन ओस्टोजेनेसिस (चाबी) को निकाल दिया गया। फिर अक्टूबर 2024 को तीसरा ऑपरेशन राइट टी एम जॉइंट एन्काइलोसिस को खोलकर आर्टिफीसियल कस्टमाइज्ड टी एम जॉइंट रिकंस्ट्रक्शन किया गया। फिर फेसिअल एसीमेट्री के लिए ऑग्निधिक सर्जरी की गई, जिसमे मरीज के ऊपर-नीचे के जबड़े को काटकर सीधा कर (बाइलेटरल ली फोर्ट 1 ओस्टेओटोमी, बाइलेटरल सजाइटल स्प्लिट ओस्टेओटोमी, जेनिओप्लास्टी) चेहरा सुधारा गया।
छत्तीसगढ़ प्रदेश के सभी मेडिकल और डेंटल कॉलेज का यह पहला ऐसा ऑपरेशन जिसमे राइट टी एम जॉइंट एन्काइलोसिस कर आर्टिफीसियल कस्टमाइज़्ड टी एम जॉइंट रिकंस्ट्रक्शन एवं फेसिअल एसीमेट्री के लिए ऑर्थोग्निथिक सर्जरी एक साथ किया गया। आर्टिफीसियल कस्टमाइज़्ड टी एम जॉइंट रिकंस्ट्रक्शन- त्रुटिहीन फिट, बढ़ी हुई स्थिरता, बेहतर मैंडिबुलर फ़ंक्शन और रूप, एवं गैर-कस्टम विकल्पों की तुलना में सर्जिकल समय में संभावित कमी । कस्टम-निर्मित कृत्रिम अंग बेहतर दीर्घकालिक स्थिरता प्रदान करते हैं, चेहरे की समरूपता और कार्य को बहाल करके रोगी की संतुष्टि के उच्च स्तर में योगदान करते हैं, और एक मानक प्रत्यारोपण के लिए शारीरिक संरचनाओं को अनुकूलित करने की आवश्यकता को समाप्त करते हैं, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप अधिक कुशल परिणाम प्राप्त होते हैं।
