छत्तीसगढ़ में नगरीय निकाय और पंचायत चुनाव एक साथ कराने की तैयारी, नगर पालिक निगम (संशोधन) अध्यादेश का प्रकाशन
छत्तीसगढ़ में नगरीय निकाय और पंचायत चुनाव एक साथ कराने का रास्ता साफ हो गया है। राज्य सरकार ने निकाय चुनाव के नियमों में बदलाव कर दिया है। बदले नियमों को नगर पालिक निगम (संशोधन) अध्यादेश 2024 में प्रकाशित भी कर दिया गया है। इसके बाद अब निकाय चुनाव का कार्यकाल खत्म होने के छह महीने तक भी व्यवस्था को संभाला जा सकेगा। CG Politics: इससे पंचायत चुनाव की अवधि आने तक दोनों का चुनाव एक साथ कराने में सहूलियत होगी। जारी अधिसूचना के अनुसार, यदि निकायों के चुनावी कार्यकाल पूरा होने से पहले नगर पालिका और नगर पंचायत पुनर्गठित नहीं की जाती है, तो छह माह के लिए राज्य सरकार व्यवस्था बनाकर आगे के कार्य का संचालन करवा सकेगी। हालांकि इस छह महीने के भीतर पुन: चुनाव कराना अनिवार्य होगा।
CG Politics: बता दें कि कुछ समय पहले राज्य सरकार ने आईएएस ऋचा शर्मा की अध्यक्षता में पंचायत-निकाय चुनाव एक साथ कराने के लिए पांच सदस्यीय कमेटी बनाई थी। कमेटी ने भी एक साथ चुनाव कराने की अनुशंसा की थी। नगरीय प्रशासन मंत्री अरुण साव का कहना है कि अब लोगों को अपना नेता चुनने का अधिकार होगा।
