रायपुर। राज्यसभा सांसद छाया वर्मा ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को पत्र लिखकर देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों में फंसे प्रवासी मजदूरों की घर वापसी की मांग की है. उन्होंने सवाल किया कि विदेश में फंसे भारतीयों को स्वदेश लाया जा सकता है तो देश के भीतर ही फंसे प्रवासी मजदूरों की घर वापसी क्यों संभव नहीं है.
सांसद छाया वर्मा ने देश के नागरिकों के लिए दोहरा मापदंड अपनाए जाने पर सवाल खड़े करते हुए प्रवासी मजदूरों को घर वापसी की इजाजत नहीं दिए जाने को उनको संविधान द्वारा प्रदत्त मौलिक अधिकारों का हनन बताया है. सांसद ने पत्र में विशेषज्ञों की राय में कोरोना संक्रमण के लंबे समय तक बने रहने की आशंका को जाहिर करते हुए कहा कि पूरे विश्व में अभी तक इसकी प्रभावी दवा नहीं है. इसे विकसित करने में अभी समय लगेगा, ऐसे में बिना काम, बिना मजदूरी, बिना पर्याप्त भोजन, बिना सामाजिक सुरक्षा के मजदूरों को उनके घर परिवार से दूर रखना व्यवहारिक नहीं होगा.
सासंद ने कहा कि सरकार का काम आम आदमी के जीवन को सुगम बनाना होता है, लेकिन इसके उलट आम आदमी अधभरे पेट चोरी-छिपे सैकड़ों किलोमीटर पैदल चलकर अपने घर पहुंच रहा है. उन्होंने कहा कि बीमारी हवाई जहाज वाले लाएं और सजा मजदूर भुगत रहा है. सांसद ने मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल द्वारा मजदूरों की घर वापसी के लिए प्रधानमंत्री से आग्रह किया है. इसके साथ राज्य सरकार अन्य राज्यों में फंसे मजदूरों के लिए भोजन और अन्य व्यवस्थाओं के लिए प्रयासरत है.
सांसद छाया वर्मा ने अन्य राज्यों में फंसे छत्तीसगढ़ के मजदूरों के लिए विशेष सेनिटाइज ट्रेन चलाकर उन्हें घर तक पहुंचाने की व्यवस्था करने की मांग की है.
