सांसद ने मेडिकल कॉलेज के लिए जताया आभार
कोरबा। कोरबा जिले में मेडिकल कॉलेज स्थापना की बहुप्रतीक्षित मांग अब जाकर पूरी हुई है। इसके लिए कोरबा लोकसभा क्षेत्र की सांसद श्रीमती ज्योत्सना चरणदास महंत ने औद्योगिक व आदिवासी कोरबा जिले में मेडिकल कॉलेज खोले जाने की स्वीकृति के लिए के मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल के प्रति आभार जताया है।
भारत सरकार के स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय ने मेडिकल कॉलेज के लिए 325 करोड़ रुपए की स्वीकृति प्रदान की है। कोरबा में नए चिकित्सा महाविद्यालय की स्थापना एवं निर्माण के लिए विधिवत कोष की मंजूरी प्रदान कर दिए जाने से अब मेडिकल कॉलेज का मार्ग पूरी तरह प्रशस्त हो गया है। बहुप्रतीक्षित इस मांग के पूरा हो जाने से अब जिले के विद्यार्थियों को मेडिकल की पढ़ाई के लिए अन्यत्र नहीं जाना पड़ेगा। कोरबावासियों के लिए इसे बड़ी उपलब्धि बताते हुए सांसद ने कहा है कि अब जल्द ही ईएसआईसी अस्पताल की सौगात मिलने की बारी है। इसके लिए वे लगातार केन्द्रीय श्रम मंत्री से संपर्क में हैं। सांसद ने कोरबा में मेडिकल कॉलेज स्थापना के लगातार प्रयासों के लिए विधानसभा अध्यक्ष डॉ. चरणदास महंत, राजस्व मंत्री जयसिंह अग्रवाल, स्वास्थ्य मंत्री टीएस सिंहदेव के प्रति भी आभार जताया है। केन्द्रीय स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय के अवर सचिव अमित विश्वास ने कोरबा के अलावा महासमुंद व कांकेर में भी मेडिकल कॉलेज के लिए 325-325 करोड़ की स्वीकृति जारी कर इसकी सूचना प्रदेश के स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा विभाग के सचिव को प्रेषित की है।
