पूर्व चीफ जस्टिस गोगोई को राष्ट्रपति ने राज्यसभा के लिये किया मनोनीत

नई दिल्ली — राम मंदिर सहित कई ऐतिहासिक फैसला सुनाने वाले पूर्व मुख्य न्यायाधीश रंजन गोगोई को आज संसद के उच्च सदन राज्यसभा के लिये महामहिम राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने मनोनीत किया है। तीन अक्टूबर 2018 को भारत के 46वें चीफ जस्टिस बने गोगोई का कार्यकाल लगभग साढ़े तेरह महीने का था। वे आसाम के मुख्यमंत्री रहे केशवचन्द्र गोगोई के बेटे हैं।
भारत सरकार के राजपत्र में बताया गया कि भारत के संविधान के अनुच्छेद 80 के खंड (3) के साथ पठित खंड (1) के उपखंड (क) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुये राष्ट्रपति, एक नामित सदस्य की सेवानिवृत्ति के कारण हुई रिक्ति को भरने के लिये , राज्यसभा में रंजन गोगोई को नामित करते हैं।
