अम्बिकापुर। सरगुजा के महाराजा स्व. एमएस सिंहदेव की धर्मपत्नी तथा प्रदेश के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री टीएस सिंह की मां राजमाता देवेन्द्र कुमारी सिंहदेव ने सोमवार की शाम गुरुग्राम दिल्ली के मेदांता अस्पताल में अंतिम सांस ली। राजमाता के निधन पर छत्तीसगढ़ विधानसभा के अध्यक्ष डॉ. चरणदास महंत व कोरबा लोकसभा क्षेत्र की सांसद श्रीमती ज्योत्सना चरणदास महंत ने गहरा दु:ख व्यक्त किया है। डॉ. महंत एवं श्रीमती महंत ने कहा है कि राजमाता के निधन की खबर से वे स्तब्ध हैं। वे प्रेम और ममता की प्रतिमूर्ति थीं और अनेक मौकों पर उनका सानिध्य प्राप्त करने का अवसर मिलता रहा। महाराजा स्व. सिंहदेव एवं राजमाता से महंत परिवार का काफी गहरा नाता व पारिवारिक संबंध रहा है। उनके निधन से समूचा महंत परिवार भी शोकाकुल है। राजमाता का निधन सरगुजा संभाग सहित पूरे छत्तीसगढ़ प्रदेश के लिए अपूरणीय क्षति है।
