कल मुख्यमंत्री बघेल करेंगे नये जिले का उद्घाटन

रायपुर — मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल कल 10 फरवरी को दूरस्थ अंचल में स्थित प्रदेश के नवगठित 28वें जिले गौरेला-पेण्ड्रा-मरवाही का शुभारंभ करेंगे। इसके साथ ही यह जिला भी अस्तित्व में आ जायेगा।
गौरतलब है कि मुख्यमंत्री बघेल ने 15 अगस्त 2019 को स्वतंत्रता दिवस के राज्य स्तरीय समारोह में गौरेला-पेण्ड्रा-मरवाही जिले की घोषणा की थी। नवगठित जिले में तीन तहसील तथा तीन विकासखण्ड गौरेला, पेण्ड्रा और मरवाही शामिल होंगे। जिनमें कुल 166 ग्राम पंचायतें, 222 गांव और 02 नगर पंचायत समाहित होंगी। इस जिले का क्षेत्रफल 01 लाख 68 हजार 225 हेक्टेयर होगा।
इस जिले में कुल सिंचित रकबा 6290 हेक्टेयर और कुल असिंचित रकबा 64 हजार 352 हेक्टेयर होगा। इस नवगठित जिले में मरवाही विधानसभा के 200 गांव और कोटा विधानसभा के 25 गांव, कोरबा लोकसभा क्षेत्र के 200 गांव और बिलासपुर लोकसभा क्षेत्र के 25 गांव समाहित होंगे। नये जिले के गठन से प्रशासन जनता के नजदीक पहुंचकर इस क्षेत्र में शासन की महत्वपूर्ण योजना के क्रियान्वयन और त्वरित विकास को मूर्त रूप देने में सक्षम हो सकेगा।
