कोरबा । राज्य शासन द्वारा ग्रामीणों व कृषकों की सुविधा को ध्यान में रखते हुए खरीफ विपणन वर्ष 2019-20 एवं आगामी खरीफ विपणन वर्षों के लिए प्रदेश में 12 नए धान खरीदी केन्द्र खोले जाने की अनुमति प्रदान की गई है। कोरबा लोकसभा क्षेत्र की सांसद श्रीमती ज्योत्सना चरणदास महंत के प्रयासों से जिले में एक नवीन धान खरीदी केन्द्र की स्वीकृति हुई है। करतला विकासखंड के ग्राम पंचायत केरवाद्वारी में धान खरीदी केन्द्र की मांग सांसद से की गई थी जिस पर श्रीमती महंत ने राज्य सरकार को आवश्यक कार्यवाही के लिए पत्र लिखा था। श्रीमती महंत के प्रयास से छत्तीसगढ़ शासन के खाद्य, नागरिक आपूर्ति एवं उपभोक्ता संरक्षण विभाग मंत्रालय के द्वारा स्वीकृत नवीन धान खरीदी केन्द्रों में कोरबा जिले के करतला विकासखंड अनुसूचित क्षेत्र के ग्राम केरवाद्वारी में भी एक केन्द्र की अनुमति दी गई है। आदिवासी सेवा सहकारी समिति, करतला के द्वारा यह धान खरीदी केन्द्र संचालित होगा। नवीन धान खरीदी केन्द्र प्रारंभ होने से स्थानीय ग्रामीणों सहित समिति के अंतर्गत आने वाले किसानों को लाभ होगा। ग्रामीणों ने इसके लिए सांसद के प्रति आभार जताया है।
