करवाचौथ व्रत या पत्नी को गुलामी का अहसास दिलाने का एक और दिन?
‘श्रद्धा या अंधविश्वास’
दोस्तों क्या महिला के उपवास रखने से पुरुष की उम्र बढ़ सकती है?
क्या धर्म का कोई ठेकेदार इस बात की गारंटी लेने को तैयार होगा कि करवाचौथ जैसा व्रत करके पति की लंबी उम्र हो जाएगी? मुस्लिम नहीं मनाते, ईसाई नहीं मनाते, दूसरे देश नहीं मनाते और तो और भारत में ही दक्षिण, या पूर्व में नहीं मनाते लेकिन इस बात का कोई सबूत नहीं है कि इन तमाम जगहों पर पति की उम्र कम होती हो और मनाने वालों के पति की ज्यादा,
क्यों इसका किसी के पास जवाब नही है?
यह व्रत ज्यादातर उत्तर भारत में प्रचलित हैं, दक्षिण भारत में इसका महत्व ना के बराबर हैं, क्या उत्तर भारत के महिलाओं के पति की उम्र दक्षिण भारत के महिलाओं के पति से कम हैं ?
क्या इस व्रत को रखने से उनके पतियों की उम्र अधिक हो जाएगी?
क्या यह व्रत उनकी परपरागत मजबूरी हैं या यह एक दिन का दिखावा हैं?
दोस्तों इसे अंधविश्वास कहें या आस्था की पराकाष्ठा?
पर सच यह हैं करवाचौथ जैसा व्रत महिलाओं की एक मजबूरी के साथ उनको अंधविश्वास के घेरे में रखे हुए हैं।
कुछ महिलाएँ इसे आपसी प्यार का ठप्पा भी कहेँगी और साथ में यह भी बोलेंगी कि हमारे साथ पति भी यह व्रत रखते हैं। परन्तु अधिकतर महिलाओं ने इस व्रत को मजबूरी बताया हैं।
एक आम वार्तालाप में मैंने खुद कुछ महिलाओं से इस व्रत के बारे में पूछा उनका मानना हैं कि यह पारंपरिक और रूढ़िवादी व्रत है जिसे घर के बड़ो के कहने पर रखना पड़ता हैं क्योंकि कल को यदि उनके पति के साथ संयोग से कुछ हो गया तो उसे हर बात का शिकार बनाया जायेगा,
इसी डर से वह इस व्रत को रखती हैं।
क्या पत्नी के भूखे-प्यासे रहने से पति दीर्घायु स्वस्थ हो सकता है?
इस व्रत की कहानी अंधविश्वासपूर्ण भय उत्पन्न करती है कि करवाचौथ का व्रत न रखने अथवा अज्ञानवश व्रत के खंडित होने से पति के प्राण खतरे में पड़ सकते हैं, यह महिलाओं को अंधविश्वास और आत्मपीड़न की बेड़ियों में जकड़ने को प्रेरित करता है।
कुछ लोग मेरे इस स्टेटस पर इतनी लंबी-चौड़ी बहस करेगे लेकिन एक बार भी नहीं बतायेगे कि, ऐसा क्यों है कि, सारे व्रत-उपवास पत्नी, बहन और माँ के लिए ही क्यों हैं? पति, भाई और पिता के लिए क्यों नहीं.?
क्योंकि धर्म की नज़र मे महिलाओं की जिंदगी की कोई कीमत तो है पत्नी मर जाए तो पुरुष दूसरी शादी कर लेगा, क्योंकि सारी संपत्ति पर तो व्यावहारिक अधिकार उसी को प्राप्त है। बहन, बेटी मर गयी तो दहेज बच जाएगा। बेटी को तो कुल को तारना नहीं है, फिर उसकी चिंता कौन करे?
अगर महिलाओं को आपने सदियों से घरों में क़ैद करके रख के आपने उनकी चिंतन शक्ति को कुंद कर दिया हैं तो क्या अब आपका यह दायित्व नहीं बनता कि, आप पहल करके उन्हें इस मानसिक कुन्दता से आज़ाद करायें?
मैंने कुछ शादीशुदा लोगों से पूछना चाहता हूँ की क्या आज के युग में सब पति पत्निव्रता हैं?
आज की अधिकतर महिलाओं की जिन्दगी घरेलू हिंसा के साथ चल रही हैं जिसमें उनके पतियों का हाथ है।
ऐसी महिलाओं को करवाचौथ का व्रत रखना कैसा रहेगा?
भारत का पुरुष प्रधान समाज केवल नारी से ही सब कुछ उम्मीद करता हैं परन्तु नारी का सम्मान करना कब सोचेगा?
इस व्रत की शैली को बदलना चाहिए जिससे महिलाएँ दिन भर भूखी-प्यासी ना रहे,
एक बात और
मैंने अपनी आँखो से अनेक महिलाओ को करवा चौथ के दिन भी विधवा होते देखा है जबकि वह दिन भर करवा चौथ का उपवास भी किये थी, दो वर्ष पहले मेरे मित्र के परिचितों में से जिसकी नई शादी हुई और पहली करवाचौथ के दिन ही घर जाने की जल्दी मे एक सड़क हादसे में उसकी मृत्यु हो गई, उसकी पत्नी अपने पति की दीर्घायु के लिए करवाचौथ का व्रत किए हुए थी, तो क्यों ऐसा हुआ?
करवा चौथ के आधार पर जो समाज मे अंध विश्वास, कुरीति, पाखंड फैला हुआ है, उसको दूर करने के लिए पुरुषों के साथ खासतौर से महिलाए अपनी उर्जा लगाये तो वह ज्यादा बेहतर रहेगा।
मुझे पता है मेरे इस लेख पर कुछ लोग मुझपर ही उँगली उठाएंगे, धर्म विरोधी भी कहेंगे लेकिन मुझे कोई फर्क नही पड़ता,
क्योंकि मैंने सच लिखने की कोशिश की है, मैं हमेशा पाखंड पर चोट करता रहा हूँ और करता रहूँगा ।
मैं वही लिखता हूँ जो मैं महसूस करता हूँ।
इस सम्बन्ध मे आपसे अनुरोध है की इस पाखंड को खत्म करने मे पुरजोर समर्थन दें।
