रायपुर– दंतेवाड़ा उपचुनाव में देवती कर्मा कांग्रेस की प्रत्याशी होंगी। AICC ने आज देवती कर्मा के नाम पर मुहर लगा दी है। देवती कर्मा झीरम घाटी हमले में मारे गये महेंद्र कर्मा की पत्नी हैं, 2013 के विधानसभा चुनाव में वे विधायक चुनी गई थी, लेकिन 2018 के विधानसभा चुनाव में वो भीमा मंडावी से हार गयी थी। पिछले विधानसभा चुनाव में छविंद्र कर्मा ने कांग्रेस पार्टी में बागी बनने का ऐलान कर पार्टी को बड़ा नुकसान पहुंचाया था, लेकिन इस बार छविंद्र को मना लिया गया है।
शनिवार को रायपुर के राजीव भवन में मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल, प्रदेश अध्यक्ष मोहन मरकाम, प्रदेश प्रभारी पीएल पुनिया की मौजूदगी में चुनाव समिति की बैठक हुई थी। इस बैठक में देवती कर्मा, छविंद्र कर्मा और सोनाराम सोरी के नाम पर भी चर्चा की हुई, लेकिन पार्टी की सहमति देवती कर्मा पर बनी।
