बालसमुंद जलाशय में आर्द्रभूमि संरक्षण एवं जैव विविधता संवर्धन हेतु जागरूकता कार्यक्रम : कार्यशाला में 46 पक्षी प्रजातियों की हुईं पहचान
रायपुर, 03 फ़रवरी 2026/ आर्द्रभूमियाँ अविश्वसनीय जैव विविधता का घर हैं और पृथ्वी पर सबसे समृद्ध और विविध पारिस्थितिक तंत्रों में से हैं। ये कई लुप्तप्रायए संकटग्रस्त और स्थानिक प्रजातियों को आश्रय देती हैं जो केवल कुछ निश्चित आर्द्रभूमि आवासों में ही जीवित रह सकती हैं। विश्व आर्द्रभूमि दिवस 2026 के अवसर पर 2 फरवरी को बालसमुंद जलाशय, पलारी में वन एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन विभाग, बलौदाबाजार द्वारा आर्द्रभूमि संरक्षण एवं जैव विविधता संवर्धन के उद्देश्य से जागरूकता कार्यक्रम सह- कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम सिद्धेश्वर महादेव मंदिर परिसर, बालसमुंद जलाशय क्षेत्र में संपन्न हुआ।
बारनवापारा अभ्यारण्य में 46 पक्षी प्रजातियों की पहचान
इस विशेष आयोजन का उद्देश्य पृथ्वी के लिए आर्द्रभूमि की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका के बारे में लोगों में जागरूकता बढ़ाना है, क्योंकि ये पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र जंगलों की तुलना में तीन गुना तेजी से लुप्त हो रहे हैं। इस आयोजन में लगभग 60 प्रतिभागियों, 5 विशेषज्ञों तथा जिले के विभिन्न महाविद्यालयों से 49 विद्यार्थियों ने सहभागिता की। कार्यक्रम का मुख्य उद्देश्य आर्द्रभूमियों के पारिस्थितिक महत्व, जैव विविधता संरक्षण तथा स्थानीय स्तर पर समुदाय की सहभागिता को प्रोत्साहित करना रहा। कार्यक्रम के दौरान पक्षी अवलोकन एवं आर्द्रभूमि अध्ययन की व्यावहारिक गतिविधियाँ आयोजित की गईं। छात्र-छात्राओं द्वारा जलाशय से जल नमूने एकत्रित किए गए तथा बारनवापारा अभ्यारण्य के फॉरेस्ट गाइड्स के सहयोग से 46 पक्षी प्रजातियों की पहचान की गई। प्रतिभागियों को तालाब में पाए जाने वाले जलीय जीव-जंतुओं, जल गुणवत्ता तथा आसपास के पारिस्थितिक तंत्र की जानकारी दी गई।
बालसमुंद जलाशय स्थानीय एवं प्रवासी पक्षियों के लिए अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण
विशेषज्ञों ने अपने संबोधन में बताया कि आर्द्रभूमियाँ न केवल पक्षियों एवं जलीय जीवों का प्राकृतिक आवास हैं, बल्कि ये भूजल पुनर्भरण, बाढ़ नियंत्रण, जल शुद्धिकरण, स्थानीय जलवायु संतुलन एवं आजीविका समर्थन में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती हैं। बालसमुंद जलाशय जैसे जलस्रोत क्षेत्रीय स्तर पर स्थानीय एवं प्रवासी पक्षियों के लिए अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण हैं। कार्यक्रम में वनमंडलाधिकारी, धम्मशील गणवीर के मार्गदर्शन में जिले की आर्द्रभूमियों को अधिसूचित करने हेतु किए जा रहे प्रयासों की जानकारी दी गई। इस अवसर पर उप-विभागीय अधिकारी (वन) निश्चचल चंद शुक्ला, वन परिक्षेत्र अधिकारी प्रखर नायक, एवं कार्यक्रम संयोजक सहायक प्राध्यापक प्रो. अजय मिश्रा की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति रही।
कार्यक्रम में नगर पंचायत पलारी के अध्यक्ष गोपी साहू, उपाध्यक्ष पिंटू वर्मा, हितेंद्र ठाकुर एवं शोधार्थी दीपक तिवारी रहे। इसके अतिरिक्त डिप्टी रेंजर सर्वश्री धर्म सिंह बरिहा, बीट प्रभारी मनबोधन टंडन, आबिद अली खान, रामनारायण यादव सहित वन विभाग के अधिकारी एवं कर्मचारीगण और विद्यार्थी बड़ी संख्या में उपस्थित रहे।
