जीपीएम।महात्मा गांधी उद्यानिकी महाविद्यालय सांकरा-पाटन- दुर्ग के अंतर्गत संचालित महंत बिसाहू दास उद्यानिकी महाविद्यालय एवं अनुसंधान केंद्र, गौरेला-पेंड्रा-मरवाही में गुरु पूर्णिमा का आयोजन श्रद्धा व उत्साह के साथ किया गया।कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ मां सरस्वती के समक्ष दीप प्रज्वलन कर मंत्रों उच्चारण के साथ किया गया। मंच संचालन तृतीय वर्ष छात्रा किरण प्रजेश एवं द्वितीय वर्ष के छात्र आदित्य कुमार द्वारा किया गया। सर्वप्रथम सभी गुरुओं को सम्मान स्वरूप श्रीफल दिया गया। सभी गुरुजनों ने गुरु शिष्य के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा कि गुरु जीवन के मार्गदर्शक होते हैं।
अधिष्ठाता डॉ. नारायण साहू ने अपने संदेश में कहा कि कि “गुरु पूर्णिमा का दिन हमें याद दिलाता है कि ज्ञान ही सबसे बड़ी शक्ति है और गुरु ही वह मार्गदर्शक हैं जो हमें इस शक्ति से परिचित कराते हैं।” उन्होंने छात्रों से आह्वान किया कि वे गुरुओं के बताए मार्ग पर चलकर समाज और राष्ट्र के विकास में योगदान दें।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान सभी छात्र-छात्राओं ने बढ़ चढ़कर भाग लिया जिसमें समस्त गुरुजनों के लिये गीत, डांस एवं दोहा आदि कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किया गया।यह आयोजन गुरु-शिष्य परंपरा की महत्ता को रेखांकित करता हुआ सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न हुआ।
इस कार्यक्रम में महाविद्यालय के सहायक प्राध्यापक डॉ. सोनल तिवारी (अनुवांशिकी एवं पादप प्रजनन) डॉ. भावना पंडा (फल विज्ञान), अतिथि अध्यापक डॉ. चेतना जांगड़े (पादप रोग विज्ञान), डॉ. शुभम ठाकुर (कृषि अर्थशास्त्र), डॉ. मुकेश पटेल (कृषि कीट विज्ञान), सुश्री गरिमा कोर्राम (मृदा विज्ञान), डॉ. एल. पी. भारद्वाज (सब्जी विज्ञान) एवं डॉ. प्रशांत बिझेकर (कृषि प्रसार) के साथ-साथ बी.एस.सी. (उद्यानिकी) प्रथम, द्वितीय एवं तृतीय वर्ष के सभी छात्र-छात्राएं उपस्थित रहे।
