बिलासपुर/विलम्ब से दफ्तर आने वाले सरकारी कर्मचारियों की अब खैर नहीं होगी। बायोमेट्रिक अटेन्डेन्स के आधार पर उनका अगले महीने से वेतन निकाला जायेगा। कलेक्टर अवनीश शरण ने अधिकारी-कर्मचारियों की लेटलतीफी से आम जनता को हो रही परेशानी को गंभीरता से लिया है। उन्होंने जिले के सभी शासकीय कार्यालयों में अनिवार्य रूप से बायोमेट्रिक मशीन लगाने के निर्देश दिए हैं। मशीन लगाने के लिए 15 दिवस की मोहलत प्रदान की है। अप्रैल महीने का वेतन हर हाल में बायोमेट्रिक उपस्थिति के आधार पर ही ड्रा किया जायेगा।

कलेक्टर ने जिले के सभी विभाग प्रमुख, अतिरिक्त कलेक्टर, जिला कार्यालय एवं सभी प्रभारी अधिकारियों को आज इस आशय कड़े पत्र जारी किये हैं। जिसके अनुसार प्रायः यह देखा जा रहा है कि शासन द्वारा निर्धारित कार्यालयीन समय पर अधिकारी एवं कर्मचारी कार्यालय में उपस्थित नहीं हो रहे हैं, जिससे ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि आपका स्वयं एवं अधीनस्थ कर्मचारियों के प्रति कोई नियंत्रण नहीं है। इससे जहां एक ओर शासकीय कार्य का त्वरित निपटारा नहीं हो पाता है वहीं आम जनता को कठिनाईयों का सामना करना पड़ता है। यह स्थिति अत्यंत खेदजनक एवं चिंताजनक है। कलेक्टर ने कहा है कि बायोमेट्रिक व्यवस्था का वे स्वयं आकस्मिक निरीक्षण करेंगे।
