संभागायुक्त ने पण्डित सुन्दरलाल शर्मा मुक्त विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति का कार्यभार ग्रहण किया

बिलासपुर/ संभागायुक्त श्री महादेव कावरे ने आज पण्डित सुन्दरलाल शर्मा मुक्त (ओपन) विश्वविद्यालय बिलासपुर के कुलपति का कार्यभार ग्रहण किया। कुलपति श्री बंशगोपाल सिंह का कार्यकाल समाप्त होने के उपरांत राज्य सरकार ने संभागायुक्त श्री कावरे को कुलपति का प्रभार सौंपा है। श्री कावरे ने इस अवसर पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम में कहा कि कुलपति के रूप में काफी चुनौतीपूर्ण दायित्व राज्य सरकार ने उन्हें सौंपा है। उन्होंने कहा कि निवर्तमान कुलपति के नेतृत्व में इस मुक्त विश्वविद्यालय ने विगत 10 सालों में काफी प्रगति की है, जिसके कारण नेक प्लस के ग्रेड की गुणवत्ता पूर्ण शिक्षा की उपलब्धि इसे हासिल हुई है। उन्होंने कहा कि सभी सरकारी कार्यालयों के काम-काज को अब ई-ऑफिस के रूप में परिवर्तित करना है।यूनिवर्सिटी के काम-काज को भी ई-ऑफिस का लाभ मिलना चाहिए। उन्होंने 31 मार्च तक इसे पूर्ण करने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने बताया कि उनकी शिक्षा तकनीकी क्षेत्र (आईआईटी) में हुई है। काम-काज में तकनीकी का इस्तेमाल शुरू से ही उनकी प्राथमिकता में रही है।
गौरतलब है कि लगभग 70 एकड़ के रकबे में यूनिवर्सिटी का क्षेत्र फैला हुआ है। और राज्य के 145 कॉलेजों में इसका अध्ययन केन्द्र स्थापित हैं। उन्होंने उम्मीद जताई के पूर्व कुलपति की तरह यूनिवर्सिटी के विकास में सभी शिक्षकों, अधिकारी एवं कर्मचारियों का सहयोग उन्हें भी मिलेगा। उन्होंने निवर्तमान कुलपति प्रो. वंशगोपाल सिंह के स्वस्थ एवं दीर्घायु जीवन के लिए शुभकामनाएं दी। यूनिवर्सिटी प्रबंधन की ओर से श्री सिंह का प्रतीक चिन्ह भेंटकर सम्मानित किया। निवर्तमान कुलपति श्री वंशगोपाल सिंह ने यूनिवर्सिटी को ऊंचाई तक पहुंचाने में मिले सहयोग के लिए सभी संबंधित पक्षों के प्रति आभार व्यक्त किया।
