290.8 एकड़ सैन्य भूमि हस्तांतरण से बिलासा एयरपोर्ट विस्तार तेज, 4C अपग्रेड करीब
बिलासपुर, 6 अप्रैल 2026/बिलासपुर के बिलासा देवी केंवट हवाई अड्डे चकरभाठा को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर के एयरपोर्ट के रूप में विकसित करने की दिशा में सोमवार को एक ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि हासिल हुई। जिला प्रशासन को 290.8 एकड़ सैन्य भूमि का विधिवत हस्तांतरण किया गया, जिससे एयरपोर्ट विस्तार और 4C श्रेणी उन्नयन का मार्ग पूरी तरह प्रशस्त हो गया।शहर के बहुप्रतीक्षित एयरपोर्ट विस्तार प्रोजेक्ट को आज निर्णायक गति मिली, जब भारतीय सेना और रक्षा संपदा कार्यालय (डीईओ) जबलपुर के अधिकारियों द्वारा 290.8 एकड़ भूमि का औपचारिक हस्तांतरण जिला प्रशासन को किया गया। यह प्रक्रिया कलेक्टर श्री संजय अग्रवाल की उपस्थिति में संपन्न हुई।भूमि हस्तांतरण के दौरान सैन्य अधिकारियों एवं डीईओ जबलपुर के प्रतिनिधियों ने स्वामित्व संबंधी आवश्यक दस्तावेजों पर हस्ताक्षर कर भूमि को प्रशासन को सौंपा। इस महत्वपूर्ण कदम के साथ अब एयरपोर्ट के लिए उपलब्ध कुल भूमि 646.8 एकड़ हो गई है, जो इसके व्यापक विस्तार के लिए पर्याप्त मानी जा रही है। इस अतिरिक्त भूमि के मिलने से रनवे विस्तार और एयरपोर्ट को 4C श्रेणी में अपग्रेड करने की दिशा में आ रही तकनीकी अड़चनें पूरी तरह समाप्त हो गई हैं। 4C श्रेणी का उन्नयन होने से बड़े विमानों की आवाजाही संभव होगी, जिससे बिलासपुर को देश के प्रमुख शहरों के साथ बेहतर हवाई कनेक्टिविटी मिलेगी और क्षेत्रीय विकास को नई गति मिलेगी। इस अवसर पर भारतीय सेना के कर्नल ए. मजूमदार, कर्नल दिनेश पट्टाभि, लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल नीरज सिंह, रक्षा संपदा अधिकारी (डीईओ) जबलपुर के मोहम्मद शाद आलम तथा एयरपोर्ट डायरेक्टर एन. वीरेन सिंह, एडीएम ज्योति पटेल, एसडीएम आकांक्षा त्रिपाठी सहित अन्य अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।
