छत्तीसगढ़ विधानसभा अध्यक्ष डॉ चरणदास महंत व कोरबा लोकसभा क्षेत्र के साँसद ज्योत्सना महंत ने ईद की मुबारकबाद देते हुए कहा कि ईद का पावन पर्व हमें भाईचारे का संदेश देता है,29 रोजे के बाद आने वाली ईद हमें जीवन के शाश्वत मूल्यों का आभास कराती है, डॉ महंत ने इस मुबारक पर्व पर सभी मुस्लिम भाइयो और बहनों से गुजारिश करते हुए कहा कि ईद में आप सभी यह दुआ करे कि देश मे अमन चैन व भाई चारा कायम रहे, हम सभी सेहतमंद के साथ बेहतरी की दिशा में आगे बढ़े व ईद का पर्व सबके जीवन मे खुशहाली लाये ।
