लंदन। ब्रिटेन की हॉकी वेल्स कंपनी के CEO को उस वक्त स्मार्टवॉच की उपयोगिता का अंदाजा हुआ जब दिल का दौरा पड़ने पर उनकी जान मुश्किल में पड़ गई. दरअसल हॉकी वेल्स के सीईओ 42-वर्षीय पॉल वफाम, स्वानसी के मॉरिस्टन क्षेत्र में अपने घर के पास सुबह दौड़ लगा रहे थे. इसी वक्त उन्हें अपने सीने में तेज दर्द महसूस हुआ. इसके बाद स्मार्ट वॉच के जरिये किसी तरह वह अपनी पत्नी से संपर्क करने में कामयाब रहे. पॉल को हार्ट अटैक की सूचना मिलते ही उनकी पत्नी ने उन्हें अस्पताल पहुंचवाया. पॉल ने बताया, ”मैं सामान्य तौर पर सुबह 7 बजे दौड़ने गया और लगभग पांच मिनट के भीतर मेरे सीने में तेज दर्द हुआ.” उन्होंने आगे बताया कि “मेरी छाती में जकड़न महसूस हुई और फिर मैं अपने हाथों और घुटनों के बल सड़क पर था. शुरू में तो यह थोड़ा सख्त था, लेकिन फिर ऐसा लगा जैसे इसे किसी वाइस की तरह निचोड़ा जा रहा हो, दर्द अविश्वसनीय था. मगर मैं अपनी पत्नी लौरा को फोन करने के लिए अपनी घड़ी का उपयोग करने में कामयाब रहा.पॉल ने बताया कि सौभाग्य से मैं अपनी पत्नी से केवल 5 मिनट की दूरी पर था, इसलिए वह मुझे कार में अस्पताल ले जा सकीं. उन्होंने कहा, ”वह भागीं और पैरामेडिक्स को बुलाया, जिन्होंने तुरंत आकर स्थिति संभाल ली.”
