नई दिल्ली — आज अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस पर महामहिम राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने राष्ट्रपति भवन में एक समारोह में समाज के अलग-अलग क्षेत्रों की 34 महिलाओं और संस्थानों को ‘नारी शक्ति सम्मान’ से सम्मानित किया। इन महिलाओं में नौसेना की छह महिला अधिकारी भी शामिल हैं। इसके अलावा समाज सुधार, विज्ञान, व्यापार, खेल, मनोरंजन और कला जगत जैसे अलग-अलग क्षेत्रों से संबंध रखने वाली तमाम महिलाओं को भी सम्मानित किया गया।महामहिम राष्ट्रपति ने इन महिलाओं के योगदान को जमकर सराहा और कहा कि बेटियों के जीवन में सुधार लाना हर नागरिक का कर्तव्य है। जिन महिलाओं को आज नारी शक्ति सम्मान से नवाजा गया, उनमें पदाला भूदेवी, बीना देवी, आरिफा जान, चामी मुर्मू, निलजा बांगु, रश्मि अर्धवाले, मान कौर, कलावती देवी, कौशिकी चक्रवर्ती, अवनी चक्रवर्ती, भावना कांत, महिमा सिंह जिटरवाल, भागीरथी अम्मा और कार्तियायिनी अम्मा शामिल हैं। इनमें बिहार की बीना देवी को मशरूम की खेती को लोकप्रिय बनाने के लिये यह पुरस्कार दिया गया है।
