दिल्ली . मोदी सरनेम केस में सुप्रीम कोर्ट से मिली राहत के तीन दिन बाद राहुल गांधी की संसद सदस्यता बहाल कर दी गई है. अब कांग्रेस नेता संसद की कार्यवाही में हिस्सा ले सकते हैं. सुप्रीम कोर्ट से सजा पर रोक के बाद लोकसभा सचिवालय ने इस बारे में फैसला लिया है. राहुल गांधी की सदस्यता बहाल करने को लेकर कांग्रेस सुप्रीम कोर्ट जाने की तैयारी कर रही थी. सूत्रों के हवाले से बताया था कि अगर सोमवार 7 अगस्त शाम तक राहुल गांधी की संसद सदस्यता बहाल नहीं की जाती है तो मंगलवार को कांग्रेस सुप्रीम कोर्ट में अपील कर सकती है. हालांकि, उसके पहले ही राहुल गांधी की सदस्यता बहाल हो गई है. अब वे फिर से सांसद बन गए हैं.
लोकसभा सचिवालय ने जारी की अधिसूचना
लोकसभा सचिवालय से जारी अधिसूचना में कहा गया है कि 24 मार्च 2023 को जारी अधिसूचना के क्रम में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने 4 अगस्त 2023 को एक विशेष अपील पर केरल के वायनाड संसदीय क्षेत्र का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले लोकसभा सदस्य राहुल गांधी की दोषसिद्धि पर रोक लगा दी, जिसके बारे में सूरत के मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट की कोर्ट ने 23 मार्च 2023 को आदेश दिया था. आगे कहा गया है कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट के 4 अगस्त 2023 के आदेश के मद्देनजर, भारतीय संविधान के अनुच्छेद 102 (1)(ई) के सेक्शन 8 में वर्णित जनप्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम 1951 के तहत 24 मार्च 2023 को जारी राहुल गांधी की संसद सदस्यता रद्द करने संबंधी अधिसूचना अगले न्यायिक आदेश तक खत्म की जाती है.
मार्च में सुनाई गई थी सजा
2019 में एक चुनावी सभा में मोदी सरनेम के बारे में दिए गए एक बयान को लेकर गुजरात की कोर्ट ने मार्च 2023 में राहुल गांधी को दो साल की सजा सुनाई थी. सजा सुनाए जाने के अगले ही दिन लोकसभा सचिवालय ने संसद सदस्यता रद्द किए जाने के संबंध में नोटिफिकेशन जारी किया था. राहुल गांधी ने 2019 के चुनाव में केरल के वायनाड संसदीय क्षेत्र से जीत हासिल की थी.
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सजा पर लगाई थी रोक
राहुल गांधी की अपील पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने शुक्रवार (4 अगस्त) को निचली अदालत के सजा के आदेश पर रोक लगा दी थी. ये रोक सूरत सेशन कोर्ट से दोषसिद्धि पर फैसला आने तक जारी रहेगी, जहां राहुल गांधी ने कनविक्शन के खिलाफ अपील दायर कर रखी है.
