रायपुर । विधायक शैलेश पांडेय ने विधानसभा सत्र में मुख्यमंत्री से बस्तर विश्वविद्यालय को स्व महेंद्र कर्मा के नाम से करने का सभी कांग्रेस विधायकों और मंत्रियों के हस्ताक्षर का पत्र देकर निवेदन किये थे । कर्मा जी के नाम करन के अवसर पर झीरम नक्सली हमले के सातवीं स्मृति दिवस 25 मई पर मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने आज नक्सल हमले में शहीद जवानों और नेताओं को नमन करते हुये उन्हें अपनी विनम्र श्रद्धांँजलि अर्पित की है। उन्होंने घोषणा किया है कि बस्तर विश्वविद्यालय का नाम महेंद्र कर्मा के नाम पर रखा जायेगा। इस अवसर पर पीसीसी चीफ मोहन मरकाम , विधानसभा अध्यक्ष चरणदास महंत, स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ,टीएस सिंहदेव, सहित शिव डहरिया, प्रेमसाय सिंह टेकाम, अम जीत भगत, रवीन्द्र चौबे, ताम्रध्वज साहू समेत कई मंत्री एवं कॉंग्रेस के पदाधिकारी शामिल थे।
