दिनांक 28.04.2024 को एनटीपीसी सीपत ने अपनी उपलब्धियों में जोड़ा एक और अध्याय।परियोजना प्रमुख श्री विजय कृष्ण पांडे, मुख्य महाप्रबंधक (एनटीपीसी सीपत) तथा श्री अनिल शंकर शरण, महाप्रबंधक ( प्रचालन एवं अनुरक्षण) ने फ्लाई ऐश से भरे 51 बीटीएपी रेलवे वैगन को बिरला सीमेंट की मैहर इकाई के लिए हरी झंडी दिखाई।
एनटीपीसी सीपत से निकली ये 3000 मैट्रिक टन फ्लाई ऐश पूर्णतः सुरक्षित रेल मार्ग से मैहर सीमेंट इकाई में पहुंचेगी और राष्ट्र निर्माण में सहभागी बनेगी।
ज्ञात हो कि एनटीपीसी सीपत हमेशा से ही पर्यावरण हितैषी कार्यों के लिए प्रयासरत रही है और विद्युत निर्माण से उत्पन्न हुई राखड़ के शत प्रतिशत उपयोग के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। वर्तमान में एनटीपीसी सीपत के राखड़ का मुख्य उपयोग राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग के निर्माण में हो रहा है। एनएचएआई की विभिन्न परियोजनाओं जैसे कि बिलासपुर पथरापाली मार्ग, बिलासपुर – ऊर्गा मार्ग, रायपुर – विशाखापत्तनम मार्ग, दुर्ग – आरंग बायपास आदि में एनटीपीसी सीपत ने विगत वर्षों में लगभग 90 लाख मीट्रिक टन ऐश की आपूर्ति की है और लाखों लोगों के लिए सुरक्षित और तीव्र राजमार्गों के निर्माण में सहभागिता की है।
इसी दिशा में रेलवे वैगन से राखड़ की आपूर्ति के लिए यह एक अभिनव पहल है। प्रथम रेलवे वैगन की रवानगी अभी परीक्षण स्तर पर है। परीक्षण के दौरान विभिन्न तकनीकी मानकों को संग्रह कर दीर्घकालीन योजना बना कर सतत रूप से राखड़ की आपूर्ति रेल मार्ग से करने का प्रयास किया जाएगा।
रेल मार्ग से राखड़ का परिवहन सस्ता, सुरक्षित और पर्यावरण हितैषी है। इस परीक्षण को सफलता पूर्वक संपन्न करने में श्री विजय कृष्ण पांडे मुख्य महाप्रबंधक और श्री अनिल शंकर शरण महाप्रबंधक के दिशा निर्देशों का अमूल्य योगदान रहा। उन के निर्देशों पर विभिन्न विभागों ऐश यूटिलाइजेशन, ऐश हैंडलिंग, एमजीआर और सीएचपी ने दिन रात आपसी सहयोग से कार्य किया।
