पत्रकार अर्नब गोस्वामी की गिरफ्तारी पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने तीन सप्ताह के लिये लगायी रोक

नई दिल्ली । 24 अप्रेल 2020 कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष श्रीमती सोनिया गांधी के खिलाफ कथित तौर पर लाईव टीवी पर अपमानजनक टिप्पणी करने और साम्प्रदायिकता फैलाने के आरोप को लेकर सैकड़ो एफआईआर के खिलाफ रिपब्लिक टीवी के एडिटर इन चीफ अर्नब गोस्वामी को सुप्रीम कोर्ट से राहत मिली है। रिपब्लिक भारत चैनल के संपादक अर्णब की ओर से दायर याचिका पर आज सुप्रीम कोर्ट की दो सदस्यीय जस्टिस डीवाई चंद्रचूड़ और जस्टिस एमआर शाह की पीठ ने सुनवाई की। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अर्णब गोस्वामी को राहत देते हुये उनकी गिरफ्तारी पर तीन सप्ताह तक रोक लगा दी। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपने अंतरिम आदेश में याचिकाकर्ता अर्णब गोस्वामी को तीन सप्ताह की अंतरिम सुरक्षा और उनके खिलाफ कोई ठोस कार्रवाई नहीं करने का आश्वासन दिया। कोर्ट ने यह भी कहा कि वह तीन सप्ताह में अग्रिम जमानत की अर्जी डाल सकते हैं। इसके अलावा, सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अर्णब गोस्वामी के खिलाफ एक एफआईआर को छोड़कर सभी एफआईआर पर रोक लगा दी है। यह एक एफआईआर नागपुर में दर्ज किया गया था, जिसे अब मुंबई स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मुंबई के पुलिस कमिश्नर को अर्नब गोस्वामी और रिपब्लिक टीवी को सुरक्षा प्रदान करने का भी निर्देश दिया है।
