छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री सह वित्त मंत्री भूपेश बघेल के द्वारा वित्तीय वर्ष 2020-21 के लिए प्रस्तुत बजट को सांसद श्रीमती ज्योत्सना चरणदास महंत ने हर वर्ग के लिए राहत भरा और संवेदनशीलता से पूर्ण बजट बताया है। सांसद ने कहा कि सबके सुख और निरोगी रहने की भावना के साथ मुख्यमंत्री ने किसानों, आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्गों की समृद्धि, गांवों की आर्थिक प्रगति, शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य की सुविधाओं को बेहतर बनाने, युवाओं के लिए विकास के रास्ते खोलने के साथ-साथ कुपोषण दूर करने समेत महत्वपूर्ण सभी विषयों को शामिल करते हुए जनहितकारी बजट लाया है। किसानों को धान का समर्थन मूल्य 2500 रुपए करने की घोषणा पर सरकार बनने के साथ ही अमल करने वाली भूपेश सरकार को लेकर तरह-तरह के भ्रम समर्थन मूल्य के विषय में फैलाए जाते रहे किंतु उन्होंने बजट में किसानों को धान खरीदी का बकाया राशि देने की घोषणा कर कृषक वर्ग के प्रति अपनी चिंता जाहिर कर दी है। सांसद ने राजीव गांधी किसान न्याय योजना को प्रदेश के किसानों के विकास के लिए मील का पत्थर बताया।
