बिलासपुर । छत्तीसगढ़ के प्रथम स्वप्न दृष्टा महान स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी डॉ खूबचंद बघेल के नाम पर अटल बिहारी वाजपेई विश्वविद्यालय में डॉ खूबचंद बघेल शोध पीठ स्थापित किया गया है । छत्तीसगढ़ स्थापना से इस पर लगातार मांग होती रही है लेकिन अब तक किसी भी विश्वविद्यालय ने इस पर गंभीरता से विचार नहीं किए वरिष्ठ शिक्षाविद डॉ परदेशी वर्मा ने कहा कि बरसों मांग रही है जो अब जाकर पूर्ण हुई है । उनका मानना है कि छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य स्थापना के साथ ही रविशंकर विश्वविद्यालय रायपुर में इसकी स्थापना हो जानी थी , पर अब तक नहीं हुई है ।

आचार्य एडीएन बाजपेई कुलपति अटल बिहारी वाजपेई विश्वविद्यालय ने भुवन वर्मा अध्यक्ष डॉ खूबचंद बघेल सेवा समिति बिलासपुर के ज्ञापन पर गंभीरता से लेते हुए विश्वविद्यालय की कार्यपरिषद की छत्तीसवी बैठक पारित कर उन्होंने डॉ खूबचंद बघेल शोध पीठ की स्थापना किये हैं । आचार्य एडीएन बाजपेई कुलपति ने सौजन्य मुलाकात के दौरान बताये कि अति शीघ्र ही शोध पीठ सदस्यगन एवं प्रमुख पदाधिकारियों की गठन की जाएगी । शोध पीठ गठन की सूचना पर डॉ खूबचंद बघेल सेवा समिति के समस्त सदस्य सहित प्रदेश के डॉक्टर बघेल के अनुयाई व सभी शुभ शुभचिंतकों ने इस महान कार्य के लिए शुभकामनाएं एवं बधाई प्रेषित यह हैं ।
