लखनऊ — उत्तरप्रदेश मंत्रिमंडल में सैनिक कल्याण, होमगार्ड, पीआरडी और नागरिक सुरक्षा मंत्रालय मंत्री एवं मुजफ्फरपुर के प्रभारी मंत्री और पूर्व क्रिकेटर चेतन चौहान का कार्डियक अरेस्ट के कारण निधन हो गया। गुरुग्राम के मेदांता अस्पातल में उनका ईलाज चल रहा था , वे कोरोना वायरस से भी संक्रमित थे। चेतन चौहान योगी सरकार के दूसरे कैबिनेट मंत्री हैं, जिनका कोरोना वायरस के कारण निधन हुआ है , इससे पहले कैबिनेट मंत्री कमला रानी का लखनऊ के पीजीआई में कोरोना वायरस के कारण निधन हुआ था। वहीं एक दिन पहले ही चेतन चौहान की तबीयत और बिगड़ गई थी. उनकी किडनी फेल हो गई थी. जिसके कारण उन्हें लाइफ सपोर्ट सिस्टम पर रखा गया था। चेतन चौहान एक पूर्व भारतीय क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी थे जिन्होंने भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के लिए ४० टेस्ट क्रिकेट मैच खेले थे।
