शहीद की पत्नी प्रतीक्षा सिंह ने अभी तक अनुकंपा नियुक्ति नहीं ली है। दरअसल प्रतीक्षा शासकीय उत्तर माध्यमिक विद्यालय नरियरा में व्याख्याता के पद पर पदस्थ हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि ,पति की शहादत के बाद तत्कालीन पुलिस अधीक्षक अभिषेक पल्लव ने बेटी के लिए अनुकंपा नियुक्ति की बात की थी। जिस पर उन्होंने कहा कि बेटी के ग्रेजुएट होने तक अभी वे अनुकंपा नियुक्ति नहीं लेंगी। ग्रेजुएशन के बाद बेटी अपना फैसला लेगी। बहू के इस निर्णय पर सास ससुर और ससुरालियों ने भी सहमति जताई है।
