रायपुर. एक गरीब किसान परिवार में जन्मा बेटा C. Palanivelu आज पूरे विश्व में किसी पहचान के मोहताज नहीं है. बतौर लेप्रोस्कोपिक सर्जन उन्होंने 45 से अधिक देशों में डॉक्टरों को लेप्रोस्कोपिक की नई-नई तकनीक सिखाई और आज देश के लगभग 98 प्रतिशत लेप्रोस्कोपिक सर्जन इनकी लिखी किताब और इनके सिखाए तरीकों से आज लेप्रोस्कोपिक यानी दूरबीन पद्धती से पेट की सर्जरी करते है. हम बात कर रहे है वर्ल्ड के नामी लेप्रोस्कोपिक सर्जन Dr. C. Palanivelu की.उन्होंने खास बातचीत की और पहली बार उन्होंने अपने जीवन से जुड़ी वो बातें शेयर की जो उन्होंने अपनी किताब में लिखी है, जिसका विमोचन इंफोसिस के संस्थापक नारायणमूर्ति अगले वर्ष 2024 में करने वाले है. वे Amasicon 2023 के कार्यक्रम में देश-विदेश के 1600 से अधिक लेप्रोस्कोपिक सर्जन को नई तकनीक बताने के लिए रायपुर के श्री बालाजी हॉस्पिटल पहुंचे थे.

10 रुपए महीने में काम करते थे ताड़ी की दुकान में

लल्लूराम डॉट कॉम से खास बातचीत में Dr. C. Palanivelu ने बताया कि वे एक गरीब किसान परिवार में जन्में. उनका जन्म 1950 में हुआ और उनका परिवार नौकरी करने के लिए 1953 में मलेशिया चला गया. उनके माता-पिता पाम ऑयल बनाने वाले खेते में मजदूरी करते थे और 15 वर्ष की उम्र में 10 रुपए प्रतिमाह (मलेशयाई करेंसी के मुताबिक) वहां ताड़ी की दुकान में काम करते थे. वे 1967 में पुनः भारत लौटे और 8 वीं के बाद की पढ़ाई उन्होंने तमिलनाडु में ही पूरी की.

बिना ईलाज बहन की निमोनिया से हो गई थी मौत

Dr. C. Palanivelu बताते है कि वे जब 8 वीं कक्षा में थे तो उनकी सबसे छोटी बहन की बिना इलाज के निमोनिया से मौत हो गई थी. जिसके बाद उन्होंने ये ठान लिया था कि वे डॉक्टर बनेंगे. इसके अलावा उनके डॉक्टर बनने के पीछे की एक वजह ये भी बताते है कि पॉम के खेत में काम करने के दौरान एक बार उनके हाथ में चोट लग गई थी, तब उनके गांव में दूर-दूर तक कोई डॉक्टर नहीं था और गांव में उनके ऊंगलियों में पत्तियां बांधकर उनका इलाज किया गया.

गांव वालों ने MBBS के लिए दिए पैसे

वे बताते है कि वे शुरू से पढ़ाई में होशियार रहे है. यही कारण है कि उनके गांव में उनके पिता के दोस्तों ने उनकी पढ़ाई के लिए Dr. C. Palanivelu के परिवार को आर्थिक मदद दी. गांव वालों ने इसलिए भी मदद की थी कि वे गांव के पहले स्टूडेंट थे जिनका चयन एमबीबीएस की पढ़ाई के लिए हुआ था. वे यहां भी खरे उतरे और गोल्डमेडलिस्ट बने. लेकिन जब उनके एमएस की पढ़ाई करनी चाही तो गांव वाले परेशान हो गए कि अब उनके पैसों का क्या होगा ? Dr. C. Palanivelu कहते है कि तब उनके पिता ने उन्हें शादी कर लेने की सलाह दी और इसके बाद आगे की पढ़ाई करने की बात कही.जहां उनकी शादी का रिश्ता तय हुआ वह सक्षम परिवार था, रिश्ता तय होने के बाद गांव वाले निश्चिंत हो गए कि उनके पैसे कही नहीं डूबेंगे और बाद में उन्होंने गांव वालों के पैसे भी लौटाएं.

ससुर ने कहा, अस्पताल खोल लो…

वे बताते है कि उनके ससुर ने उन्हें सेलम में अस्पताल खोल लेने की सलाह दी थी और ये भी कहा था कि वे इसके लिए जो भी खर्चा आएगा वो करेंगे. लेकिन Dr. C. Palanivelu ने उनका ये प्रस्ताव ठुकरा दिया और कहा कि वे मेडिकल कॉलेज में काम कर के लोगों की मदद करना चाहते है और डॉक्टरों को ट्रेंड करना चाहते है. इसके बाद वे कोयंबटूर के ही मेडिकल कॉलेज में टीचिंग लाईन से जुड़ गए और 1990 में लेप्रोस्कोपिक सर्जरी करनी शुरू की, इस वक्त देश में महज दो ही डॉक्टर थे जो ये सर्जरी करते थे.

10 साल बाद खोला अस्पताल

Dr. C. Palanivelu बताते है कि 10 साल तक मेडिकल कॉलेज में प्रैक्टिस करने के बाद 1996 से उन्होंने लेप्रोस्कोपिक की ट्रेनिंग डॉक्टरों को देनी शुरू कर दी. इसी बीच उन्हें ये अहसास हुआ कि दूसरों के अस्पताल में जाकर ट्रेनिंग देने में काफी दिक्कत हो रही है. यही कारण है कि उन्होंने सन् 2000 में अपना एक हॉस्पिटल खोला जहां वे डॉक्टरों को इसकी ट्रेनिंग देते. Dr. C. Palanivelu ने 45 से अधिक देशों में डॉक्टरों को लेप्रोस्कोपिक की नई तकनीक के बारे में ट्रेनिंग दे चुके है.उनकी लिखी किताब से देश के करीब 98 प्रतिशत लेप्रोस्कोपिक सर्जन ट्रेंड हुए और उन्होंने लेप्रोस्कोपिक पर 5 किताबे कई भाषाओं में लिखी है. इसके अलावा 515 इंटरनेश्नल जरनल उनके प्रकाशित हो चुके है. वे बताते है कि बतौर चैरेटी वे जरूरतमंद परिवार की निःशुल्क कैंसर सर्जरी कोयंबटूर, चेन्नई और 7 अलग-अलग सेटेलाइट सेंटर में करते है और उनकी इच्छा है कि कैंसर मरीजों के लिए एक एनजीओ बनकर यहां उनका निःशुल्क इलाज करें.
