धमतरी जिले की तीन विधानसभाओं पर महिलाओं का दबदबा, अब तक छह महिलाएं बन चुकीं हैं विधायक
धमतरी। : छत्तीसगढ़ के धमतरी जिले की तीन विधानसभाओं से छह महिलाएं अब तक विधायक का चुनाव जीतने में सफल रही। वर्तमान धमतरी जिला व वर्ष 1980 के अविभाजित मध्यप्रदेश के धमतरी तहसील की धमतरी विधानसभा से कांग्रेस प्रत्याशी के रूप में चुनाव जीतकर जया बेन ने महिलाओं के विधायक बनने का रास्ता खोला। तब से अब तक तीनों विधानसभाओं से छह महिलाएं विधायक बनकर विधानसभा पहुंच चुकी हैं। जयाबेन, दीपा साहू, पिंकी शिवराज शाह और रंजना साहू पुरुष प्रत्याशियों को पराजित कर विधानसभा पहुंची। धमतरी विधानसभा चुनाव 1980 में कांग्रेस ने जयाबेन दोशी को उम्मीदवार बनाया था। पहले अवसर में ही उन्होंने के सन्मुखदास पंजवानी को 7,405 मतों के अंतर से हराया था। इस तरह वे वर्तमान धमतरी जिले की पहली महिला विधायक बनीं। विधानसभा चुनाव 1985 में कांग्रेस पार्टी ने जयाबेन को दोबारा मौका दिया। इस बार उन्होंने भाजपा के कृपराम साहू को 6,910 मतों के अंतर से पराजित किया। कुरुद विधानसभा से कांग्रेस ने 1985 में दीपा साहू को मैदान में उतारा। दीपा साहू ने भाजपा के सोमप्रकाश गिरी को 1,389 मतों के अंतर से हरा दिया। उन्हें कांग्रेस ने 1990, 1998 और 2003 में भी उम्मीदवार बनाया, लेकिन वे तीनों चुनाव हार गईं। 1990 में भाजपा के सोमप्रकाश गिरी से 20,468 मतों के अंतर से हार गईं। वर्ष 1998 व 2003 में भाजपा के अजय चंद्राकर से क्रमश: 1,184 और 2,709 मतों के अंतर से पराजित हो गईं।
सिहावा में दो बार महिला प्रत्याशी आमने-सामने
सिहावा विधानसभा में भाजपा ने पहली बार महिला उम्मीदवार वर्ष 2003 में पिंकी शिवराज शाह के रूप में उतारा। उन्होंने तत्कालीन मंत्री कांग्रेस के प्रत्याशी माधव सिंह ध्रुव को 16,065 मतों के बड़े अंतर से हरा दिया। इस जीत के कारण वर्ष 2008 में भी उन्हें उम्मीदवार बनाया गया, लेकिन वे कांग्रेस की उम्मीदवार अंबिका मरकाम से 14,896 मतों के बड़े अंतर से पराजित हो गईं। विधानसभा चुनाव 2018 के सिहावा से पिंकी शिवराज शाह को भाजपा ने मैदान में उतारा। उन्हें कांग्रेस की प्रत्याशी डा. लक्ष्मी ध्रुव ने 45,436 मतों के बड़े अंतर से करारी शिकस्त दी। इसी वर्ष धमतरी विधानसभा से भाजपा की रंजना साहू ने कांग्रेस के उम्मीदवार गुरुमुख सिंह होरा को 464 मतों के मामूली अंतर से पराजित किया था।
